Just 10 minutes walk to the Viaduct, 5 minutes to the CBD, easy access from and to the Motorways and excellent value for money! We have stayed in both a two bedroom apartment with the family and a studio as a couple, both were very nice.

Room Tip: High floor at the back of the building for a quiet night!

The front entrance is a bit depressing. Reception staff surprisingly cheerful and helpful despite their surroundings. We had booked a two bed apartment for the price of a one bed so were able to use the second bedroom for luggage as the bedrooms are quite small. The apartment was well equipped and clean although the showerroom could have done with a deep clean and redecoration. We were not affected by the police sirens as others have been. Only a five minute walk to the main street and public transport. The city loop buses take you to all the main attractions and are excellent value. The breakfast is repetitive. Five days of bananas and sponge cake was a bit much. Some variation would have been welcome. But for a major city $160 represented good value

This hotel is very well equipped with washing machine, dryer, and all the cooking facilities you could need. The room is not especially spacious - bedroom cramped and we had nowhere to put luggage.
Reception staff friendly and helpful. Cleaning was fine, although 1 day was a holiday so the room wasn't serviced at all.
The hotel is centrally located so the city centre and all it's facilities are only a short walk away.

Very average. Two bed apartment had main bdrm that you could barely walk around the bed and no window. Bad location. Almost on top of police station so lots of sirens. Plus is the sky tower is very close, but the general area is very seedy. Staff were helpful but we had to park a block down the street in a not very secure public car park. At one stage we had to go get a jumper from the car and found several people leaning against it smoking & drinking. Not our idea of secure.
Breakfast as described by others - very basic and a bit strange. Very unpleasant juice.

Dear Valued Guest
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your kind comments about our helpful staff. I am sorry to hear your disappointment with the public parking. We recommend to pre-book a car park with us for your next visit to avoid the disappointment.

The hotel was booked by our travel agent so was pleasantly suppirised at the size of our room. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The only down size for us that it is located at the top end of town and with little public transport because of the one way road system. For one in their 70s we had to catch taxis to get places. After picking up our hire car we were told tha we could park underneath the hotel for $25.00 which I feel a little steep. Continental breakfast was a little mundane and would rather had a small packet of breakfast food and not cake.

Dear Denwats
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and we are glad to hear that you had a very positive experience.
Our location has the positive attribute of being up the hill from the main CBD street making it a quieter environment, but this in turn makes it a little bit of a hill climb to get back to the hotel. Take care and I hope to welcome you back in the near future.

We enjoyed our stay here. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Room was very spacious for the four of us, well equiped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Clean and airy. The only down-side was every time we switched on a ceiling light, an annoying fan burst into life! Bit annoying at night as took ages to switch itself off. We had a great view from the 9th floor balcony, and being right in the heart of the city it made getting into the CBD a breeze. All round good stay, would recommend and would stay here again

We were looking forward to our night at Auckland City Oaks for an Anniversary treat. Our experience was very disappointing. Rooms don't look like advertised. Very dirty rooms. Stained sheets with black hairs on them. Dirty carpet with red stains on it. Didn't use the cups or cutlery as they looked unclean. Breakfast was disappointing - juice from India! and dry unpleasant cake. Did get a banana, yoghurt and muesli bar but that didn't excuse the rest. Dirty marks over the walls. Do not stay here!

Room Tip: Do not stay here!

Dear Louise
Thank you for your comments about the standard of housekeeping. This is of a major concern to me. You can see by our other reviews that we take great pride in our housekeeping standards – we invest a lot of time in training and hiring to ensure we have the most capable team. I have addressed your concerns with our Executive House Keeper and will follow up personally to understand what we can do better as a property. It is disappointing to hear that our service did not work, as it should have.
