“Elegant but simple construction”

Holy Trinity Cathedral
Reviewed April 16, 2012

I organised a concert there a few years ago. It is a great modern space combining new and old architectural designs

A modern version of it's earlier St mary's counterpart. Although fairly new it is everything a cathedral should be.

This church when it was first built was just beautiful inside, but unfortunately this common thought of providing a souless space for a church has spoilt this once beautiful cathedral. The pews have all gone - now just cafe type chairs. The choir stall has gone. This cathedral is now one big cavernous space with very little atmosphere.

Lovely blend of old and new architecture and use of light.

This is an Anglican Cathedral unlike any I've seen in Britain or North America. Thankfully, the traditions continue, with Choral Evensong even sung on most weekdays, but the stained glass making up most of the entry wall is a modern masterpiece, at its best on a sunny day! It apparently is the largest work of stained glass in the Southern Hemisphere. The ceiling of the nave is also not to be missed.
