We enjoyed returning here as we last visited when they opened last year. Michael Dearth is a wonder when it comes to knowing what the punters want. You want ITALIAN, then try his Italian, Sicilian with a difference; BADUZZI = Meat Balls, you should eat them as a starter and share the different styles, we had venison, lamb and seafood. WOW the taste buds were set on fire. Then Ali and Sandy shared 2 "Maltagliata" Large Ravioli. For mains I had VOGNOLE (clams) in a rich sea food sauce with Fettucine. I only needed a Lemon Sorbet and I was "complete" as a mate calls it. It is an exciting Bistro style restaurant and we ate "outside" sheltered for the storms by a canopy and very efficient heat lamps. The Service was perfection and I love the white shirt and red braces ouitfit. the Staff KNEW theire MENUS and were excellent with the wines as well. Michael Dearth spent some time with us and explained the subtle difference between BARBERA d'Alba and BARBERA d'Asti as we had a bottle of each.
I congratulated him on CUISINE 2014 award of 2 white hats (16/20) and his chef was best chef of the year. This is Michael's Baby, but The Grove (consistent winner each year and now 3 white hats with 118/20) will be 10 this year and he is having a dinner (SOLD OUT) with each of this former chefs doing a dish! This year he is the GOD FATHER to over 10 white hats, quite a triumph. So give Baduzzi a go. You and your taste buds will love it.
