This great little eatery was just back from the hustle and bustle of the wharf restaurant/pub strip in the Wynyard Quarter. Staff were very friendly and our three courses were excellent value for money.

What a lovely place. Great atmosphere and good food too. The penang curry was fantastic as were the other dishes we chose. The mango with sticky rice not as good as we got in Thailand. However overall a nice reasonably priced meal including a bottle of wine.

Really enjoyed eating at this new Thai restaurant on Wynyard Quarter. Very high quality Thai meal with choice, delicious food, exquisite desserts and service with a smile.

Thai Street is a great addition to the Wynyard Quarter along with a number of other restaurants underneath the new ASB building. The decor is probably the best and most authentic that I've seen in a Thai restaurant.

We started with a Weekend Pickup cocktail each which was a combination of rum, passionfruit, mango, and lime which made you feel like you were on a beach in Thailand. It was superb.

We had the popcorn fishcakes and fresh spring rolls for starters. Both were nice but not mind blowing. They both lacked the hard hitting fresh taste that I would expect from the very best Thai food. For mains we had the wok fried chicken with basil and chilli and a seafood curry. Both were really nice dishes with fantastic flavours. The only criticism that I have (which I've had of all other seafood Thai curries) is that the calamari was tough because it had been cooked the same length of time as all of the other pieces of seafood in the curry.

Overall, a very good Thai restaurant that we would go back to. Not as good as Moo Chow Chow but also not as expensive.

Thai BBQ on skewers, pork, chicken and beef $6.00 (Excellent)
Isaan Style grilled half chicken came with sticky rice and Som Tam salad (Excellent)
Black Sticky rice with coconut ice cream (Yum)

Good wine list and beer selection, and the ambiance is super cool.
Highly recommended! I will be back soon.
