Description: A little birdie told us food should be three things:mostly raw, definitely organic and full of goodness. So here at little bird we do just that and with all that combined, the result is pure deliciousness. Why raw? Raw foods are in their purest state- no heating above 46'C. This ensures the food retains all its enzymes and nutrients and its life force, which means every bite contain more goodness for your body. Organic foods are grown without harmful chemicals. No chemicals in the food means no chemicals in your food or environment. Goodness, because food should be good for you, packed with all the nutrition you need to feel fabulous. Goodness tastes good too. We are completely gluten and dairy free and proudly serve plant based menus that suit anybody really as well as vegans, vegetarians and healthy minded people looking for an easy way to include more goodness and nutrition in their diet.

Amazing food. Menu limited to a couple of specials - 3 mains on offer when we visited and all 3 were amazing.
The cakes are unbelievable and almost guilt free - if you can allow a little agave or coconut sugar!
This place is tiny and gets packed at lunch time with a huge line and those waiting for orders standing on the street. There's just a very small seating area with one shared table so be prepared for a long wait if you want to sit and eat.
Also take home a bag of macaroons - well worth the price tag.
This place is awesome.

Little Bird is special. It IS little so quite often a seat is hard to get! I have been there several times and the small menu has been quite different. I always find it tricky to decide what delicious things to order! Watching meals come out confuses the issue as everything always looks so amazing!! Open for breakfast and lunches only - Closed Mondays.

There is a cabinet full of raw cakes, slices and cheesecakes - highly recommend the Espresso Cheesecake!! They also do fresh juices and smoothies. Little bird also has a selection of packaged products they make themselves and stores of baking goods.

If you would like to try something tasty and quite different try this hidden away restaurant in Kingsland Auckland. The dishes are all wheat and dairy free with multiple components blended to make very tasty dishes. On sale also are the specialist food products that early bird produces. There is an emphasis on what is considered healthy - antoxidants and the like. The drinks are all caffeine free fir example. It is quite small and basic inside and parking can be difficult but it is very popular with those in the know. Prices are moderate so not cheap but worth the experience.

okay so a ginger slice, a coffee cheesecake and a choc raspberry brownie would normally assure good eats - as a raw food newbie I observed a lot of people keen for their unbaked food - hubby wanted bacon and eggs so not as convinced although I reckon his ginger slice was the 'nicest' of the three the combo of nuts and coconut oil refrigerated to create the 'cheese' on the cheesecake made it very rich (too rich for one person) but the base was nice . prices were pretty fair - but hubby did not want to try cold filter coffee to we just took the cakes away! cheesecake does not travel well
