Usually hotels don't offer great food but this restaurant did. We visited the restaurant on the first night of our stay (got into Auckland late). We were pleasantly surprised. We had article bread then flush and chips, which were spectacular and the fish of the day which was similarly delicious. We ended with espresso creme brûlée which was amazing. The only downside was the wait staff could not answer simple questions in relation to the menu and the service was particularly slow, even though there were only 3 other people in the restaurant. Otherwise, very good value with delicious offerings.
