Mexico offers Mexican-inspired food, creatively adapted for the modern New Zealand palate, utilising seasonal ingredients. My soft taco filled with braised pork belly, pomegranate, spiced cabbage and sesame may not have been 'authentic' but it was reasonably priced and delicious. I recommend trying dishes from the 'specials' board... and the fried chicken. Plenty of spicy and milder options to suit all tastes. A colour-in kids menu is available, with crayons provided. This said, there does seem to be an emphasis on alcoholic beverages, with an entire menu dedicated to tequila. Negative reviews seem to be focused on waiting times, stretched service and crowded, noisy dining. Mexico is this popular for good reason. If you dislike a busy environment, try Mexico for lunch, or dinner on a weeknight.
