“You have to be kidding!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

This place is incredibly run-down and overpriced. Purchased a ticket of Treatme for 1/2 price and I still felt ripped off. You can get around this place in about 20 mins (max), the maze is falling apart and the only highlight is a two minute tractor ride up the hill and back!

Incredibly disappointed. For this price I could have taken my kids to the zoo and had a true day out - we arrived at 10 and there was not enough there to take us through to lunch - we were gone by 11am!

Also, cafe staff very unhelpful and verging on rude. Overall would not recommend nor would I go again.

Hi Greer,

We are the proud new owners of Kiwi Valley Farm Park and took over in August 2013. We are really sorry to hear your experience wasn't fantastic and enjoyable. As the new owners, we have great vision with an abundance of fresh new energy and motivation to put into positively developing Kiwi Valley Farm Park. We really do believe this place has the potential to be absolutely fantastic and we wont stop until we are satisfied ! The cafe here on site also has fresh new owners too - delicious food from a large menu and large choice of cabinet food, so things are definitely looking up!

“Super-cute place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

Myself and a friend visited here today and I just adored it.
From the nice lady at the front desk to the lad who drove the tractor, I think the staff were superb...friendly and informative but not over the top.
We spent quite a while here, interspersed with a pretty nifty eggy bene at the cafe, listening to a very cool blues band. The food was very reasonably priced and very good quality.
Now for my favourite part....the animals.
As you walk in, the first section houses some rabbits...ranging in size from 4 month olds to some larger older ones. The staff were quick to ask if we wanted to hold the bunnies.....and of course we said yes (in fact the bunnies were so cute that we went back to this bit a second time) the next part was where we saw the most beautiful donkey called Eddie...he greeted us to a VERY noisy welcome!
In short, the goats were greedy and unspeakably cute......the cow was gorgeous....the sheep were lovely...the alpacas hilarious and the chickens were a constant companion throughout the walk around, but the star of the show was Eddie.
Clearly a lot of love has gone into this place.
I will most definitely be returning!

“Overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

Bought an online voucher for half price and believe this was a fair price to pay. $65 for a family is outrageous, for example the price for a family to go into Auckland Zoo is $63.

To walk around the place would only take an hour, and after this there is not much to do, particularly if the on-site kindy and holiday program groups turn up and take over.

Our toddler enjoyed seeing the animals and the staff were friendly.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you did not think it was good value for money. We are the proud new owners of Kiwi Valley Farm Park and we do believe the entry prices are fair. We are encouraging hands on interaction with our friendly farm animals. A place where children and adults, can get up close and personal with a variety of animals, to touch, hold, cuddle, pat and watch them interacting within their environment. Unfortunately, the ZOO does not allow for hands on interaction with their animals. So many people have given us positive feedback on this hands on experience, so I don't think we can be compared with the ZOO. We are quite different. Unfortunately we also do not receive financial input from external sources such as the government, animal agencies etc which the ZOO does, we are funded purely by ourselves and the public that enter paying our entry fees....running a place like this is very expensive and we feel that our prices set are fair and affordable to most. Watch this space for new and exciting additions to Kiwi Valley Farm Park! Thank you!

“Fun day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Lovely setting. Lots of photo opportunities. Amazing staff who were super friendly and helpful. Pony rides, tractor rides, petting zoo and farm animals to feed. My 4 year old used her feed to feed the chickens first (we did warn her) and then got chased for the rest of the visit (which scared her) - apart from that they loved it.

The cafe is very good value, and nice service. The best coffee I have had in a long time!

The farm is well run and well kept, the animals all seem very happy.
