This is a pretty authentic French joint that serves excellent breakfast fare. Eggs benedict is my usual test of a restaurant, and this one didn't disappoint - superb hollandaise sauce. Good croissants, great coffee, friendly service - what more do you need to start your day in Auckland?

Great little cafe, welcoming and delicious food. I think it'd be a great place to become a regular. Have also popped in for a glass of wine and a few nibbles early evening before wandering home, which was an excellent option. Highly recommended.

You immediately feel the French ambiance of this café when you walk in the door, with staff greeting customers with "Bonjour" and the decor being light airy French provincial. There is a cabinet on the counter filled with delicious pastries and many flavours of macaron.

I went there for breakfast and ordered the Pain Perdu (French for French Toast) which was really delicious. It was made from brioche rather than bread which really made a difference. The coffee was excellent too.

It's tucked away at the back of the Atrium building at Britomart, but well worth seeking out for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake. Truly a relaxing place with great service in the middle of the city.
