Can you get out at nine in the morning to see a dormant volcanic island, dolphins, stunning scenery and be back in time for a bit of shopping on a place like Queen St. We are so blessed to live in this land and Auckland's waters are just so captivating and paradise like, yet so close to the man made world. Stunning and it's my home town now!

Took the Fullers ferry Taste of Waiheke tour and really enjoyed it. The wines were suitably tasty. Am not a beer fan but those are catered to also. The views from Mudbrick were nothing short of spectacular and the lunch at Stonyridge was small but flavourful. Our guide David was really entertaining and the participants were a really wide mix of visitors from all over the world. The island is picture postcard stunning and definitely a must see. The ferry passes many of the other islands and is a picturesque trip in of itself. Head back to town afterwards and explore the gorgeous beaches using the bus ticket that's included - or better still stay for dinner!

The ferry ride around the Gulf is so beautiful, relaxing and interesting. The islands are lovely and many warrant a stop and explore. Experiencing the water is such an integral part of of New Zealand and this offers such a fine variety of choices.

Usually, once you see one part of a country's coastline you have seen it all, but New Zealand is definately the exception to this rule, with the Hauraki Gulf being the golden gem in New Zealand's vast coastline. Filled with Marine life of all shapes and sizes, the beautiful clear blue waters will lull you into a peaceful bliss, which you certainly will not want to leave. all the surrounding towns and their locals are so friendly they really do the kiwi attitude and personality justice!!
I urge travellers if you need to see one part of New Zealand - go here!!!!!!

Very nice harbour. Lots of little islands which are accessible. Most popular is Waiheke Island. Very nice ferry trip to Waiheke which passes many islands. Cruise on Hauraki Gulf, Auckland is highly recommended.
