My visit started by arriving at the hotel and finding out my booking had been cancelled without my permission. No apology, just a delay until 3pm until check in. After being offered a room upgrade, I felt that even though the staff member was rude, arrogant, and didnt appreciate that I had to delay check in for a room that should have been clean at 2pm, I still felt maybe with the upgrade she slightly understood my concerns.
Unfortunately, this was not the case.
After I returned to the hotel 1 hour later, the previous offer of an upgrade was totally denied. By this point, I couldnt be bothered to argue with the member of staff completely lacking in empathy. Again still no apology, just that everything "wasn't the hotels fault".
Cigarettes all over balcony, previous guests litter under the beds, and mattress that was made in the 90's. When I left the room hoping it would be made up the next day, I returned to find out that a room clean at this hotel constitutes two new towels....nothing else, just two new towels.
Such a shame, this place could be fantastic, new beds and a bit of staff training. But until then, avoid like a rash, chances are your money will be wasted.
