This place was ahuge disappointment. We arrived on a cold, wet and windy Sunday afternoon and had to stand on the doorstep as they don't have reception on Sundays, despite being fully booked. We then had to wait for some person on the end of the intercom to contact the manager as they had lost the record of our car space booking. By the time we finally got inside we were freezing and soaked.

The car park is tiny - fortunately we had a Corolla which we could just manouver into our allocated space. A man who entered with us had no hope of parking his Ford Falcon - how he even got it around the bend in the drive way was a mystery. I wouldn't attempt to being a large car into this carpark.

The room was very basic, and the hallways on each floor had a bad smell. Bed was so super soft I thought I was going to sink into it and never be seen again.

While it was only a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area, you need to be a mountain goat - it's a very hilly area. Definately not suitable for the unfit, disabled or elderly.

For this price there are many better options in Auckland.

I was quite disappointed when I entered the lobby. This place really need sprucing up as it looked old. Nevertheless the receptionist at check in was friendly and helpful. She pointed out places of interest & parking spaces on the map which I appreciated lots. The 2 bedroom apt was okay, basic, nothing to shout about. However a very very big gripe I have is about the car park. We really had a tough time steering in, out and around. Parking was a huge sweat and I wouldn't recommend this place unless you do not drive or are driving a car smaller than a Camry old model.

We stayed at the Quest on Eden for 2 nights in early March and we were really happy with the accommodation. We paid for a studio but were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment. The room was compact with a separate bedroom, living area/kitchen, a small balcony, bathroom and laundry facilities.
We booked our accommodation at wotif.com.au and got a great rate of NZD$99.00 per night which also included a cooked breakfast at a cafe around the corner (great meal, coffee or juice an extra cost) and car parking onsite.
The hotel is located in the university area of Auckland and is an easy 5-10 minute walk into the CBD, 10-15 minutes to the Skytower/casino and around 15 minutes walk to the harbour.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay again if I was in Auckland.

room reasonable to good for the price. close to the centre of auckland although being a mountain goat would help. This applies to a fair part of Auckland anyway. No car parking on site and management were not all that helpful in suggesting what happens or where to park when you have a vehicle.
