We took the Fullers ferry and began the ascent to view the crater. Black volcanic rock everywhere, and the view from the top is very good, but you don't actually see a crater. There is a lot of vegetation on the island and the views are diminishing. On the way there is a cave you can visit which is almost like a man-built tunnel. We also went for a walk around the waters edge to enjoy more of the varied flora and some birds. There is no actual fee for the island, only the cost of the ferry. The fullers ferry sells cold drinks at a reasonable price compared to a lot of tourist options. There are no facilities and the ferry crew will remind you of this before you get off the ferry, so you can use theirs.
