Maybe we went at the wrong time of the day or year because most places were closed. We walked for several blocks and there wasn’t much to see or shop for. We only found two stores opened. Maybe during dinner time is the time to go.

I can always get a park in the street, great eating options, and my hairdresser is there. Only a few fashion shops left but worthwhile visiting.
Loved seeing the old homes still standing.
Trendy stores keep Parnell looking amazing.
Easy to get to Parnell from city centre
I was on the hop on/off bus and drove past this neighborhood. I didn't have much time to make a stop but from driving by it looked like a cute little spot with lots of shops and restaurants. Worth if visit, if you have the time.
We took a City Highlights half day tour and were fortunate to have a drop off for three quarters of an hour. Not a lot of time however enough to have a quick look and sample some local store delights.
Well recommended!
One of the nicest 'village' areas in Auckland. If you are going from Beach Road, Lower Parnell, it can be a bit of a steep walk, uphill, but you can catch an Inner Link (green bus), and do it that way. An abundance of eating places, shops, all the way up the hill. Down hill going home :)
