Unfortunately it is no longer a good place to go. It's full of Global Brands, lacks anything "Kiwi",is rundown and grungy. Not a place to go if you are visiting the city.

With so much to see and central in city, super shops and Aotea Square. Heart of Auckland City. Try Sweetest Little Choc Shop and Southern Maid donuts - divine!

It should be a jewel in our crown but it's simply not. Too many casually dress people to give it any sense of sophistication, no decent restaurants, awful parking and/or roadworks, and dear lord they took out our beautiful tres and stuck nikau palms there, which are out of character and a shame on the council. (They're struggling to survive). Junky shops, it's just another mall of chain stores, and may as well be any asian suburb.

it could be so much more, but there are lots of interesting places on its periphery, so it cannot be ignored.

Queen street (in my humble opinion) lacks character, is often without sun, really apart from some high end retail stores there isn't much to see. Much more interesting heading down the sides streets. It's time they block off Queen Street from the main traffic and have it as an area to eat/drink and and enjoy

Queen Street is the average shopping centre for souvenirs. Not much else to offer. Street become steeper as you proceed up Queen Street from the Ferry terminal
