Our planned activities are mostly outdoors. Due to rain, we visited the museum. A beautiful building inside and out. The entrance is most impressive with a gigantic ball-shaped wooden art piece from floor to the soaring ceiling. Took the 1-hour guided tour and received a good introduction of New Zealand history, culture and people. Then on to the 1/2-hour Mauri traditional dance and singing performance. A good experience for a rainy day.
