Not our 1st stay here at the Langham Auckland and certainly will not be our last stay either....

We booked last minute via Wotif.com and got a very good rate including breakfast.

The Langham breakfast is alwasy a sumptpus feast...

Service is excellent everytime - they know how to give good service and do every time.

Our room ( 405 ) was well appointed, clean and modern. It was as quiet as you should expect from any inner city hotel!

We paid extra for Valet Parkign service which just makes life SO EASY!!!

We'll be back again :)

Room Tip: Request a room away from Elevators at the far end of the corridoor.

love leaving Waikato for this place, here less than 24 hours but still managed to blow $600 without leaving the hotel, got a special on a standard room with club benefits which are truly amazing, the club is awesome.
we then went and had the most gorgeous albeit expensive seafood buffet, to die for, then in for a cocktail before bed. the pools and saunas are great, extreme disappointment was misplacing our lotto tickets from our room, we left a few items behind including my cheque book, but the lotto tickets were not returned, angry to discover tickets checked 4 days later at an Auckland countdown shop. apart from this I have nothing but praise for my favourite hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, if you are fussy then pay a bit more and go higher up, they are all pretty m...

We only had one night at The Langham at a very special low rate.
Service was excellent and staff continually using name and checking if everything was OK.
5 star hotel for service but rooms quite small and our room had lots of scratches on cupboards so would only say 4 star otherwise. Also area is not that great especially if you walk down Queen Street to get to centre of city.

Stayed here on our final night in Auckland before returning to the UK. Have to say, was not inspired by the hotel. This is clearly a hotel of relatively modern but uninspired design - well past its best. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the services were what one would expect of a five star hotel, but nothing about this hotel stood out.

The rooms were clean but worn. The entertainment system was poor. There were not enough readily accessible power sockets. The bathroom was fitted with fixtures that may have been good in the 80's, but compare very poorly against a modern bathroom in a similarly star rating hotel. The Spa was horrendously expensive for the services on offer.

And the hotel is on the extreme edge of the inner city, a long walk from the main dining area at the top of a very steep hill. This requires at least two cab rides to get there and back. It is possible to walk, but not after a long day and full of food. And being so far away, there were no restaurants open at 9.30pm on a Monday evening within any kind of walking distance.

On the plus side, the pool are was quiet, tranquil, and relaxing; and there was free WiFi. But there was nothing that encouraged me to come back. If you are looking for a base camp to explore inner city Auckland, look further into the CBD closer to the water front.

My wife and I have stayed at many hotels around the country and we found our experience at the Langham to be one of the best. The rooms have a Singapore feel with lots of varnished wood, although this may not be to everyones taste. The room was very quiet and centrally located to the inner city. The outstanding thing for us was the breakfast. There was a selection of hot food, fruit, cereals and breads of all description, second to none including smoked fish and salmon. We chose a package which gave us included valet parking, breakfast and bubbles on arrival. We would definitely stay again

It was my first time in Auckland. After a long trip it was nice to be greeted by friendly staff and the room was very welcoming. Not very spacious but adequate. It is close to cbd so it was convenient. The parking lot which we used was easily accesible through the hotel. I loved the foyer. It was a great experience for a first timer in a new city.

Attended a presentation at The Langham, which is always presented beautifully. A gorgeous young lady playing the harp, whilst a number of people were having high tea. I was with a group who were enjoying a coffee, nibbles and a chat. Then late afternoon, another get together, chat and drinks. Service was excellent as was the company. Met several other people I hadn't seen for sometime, so clearly a popular venue
