Quest Auckland Serviced Apartments

Stayed here for 4 nights last week and we were very happy. We requested a 2 bedroom apartment and they are actually 2 apartments wih a communal entry foyer and each has their own private lockable door. We were travelling with our 16 year old, so she loved that she had her own space. We just propped open the 2 entry doors leading onto the foyer area so we could walk easily between the 2.
Both had their own full spacious bathrooms with washing machine, clothes rack, hairdryer, little soaps and lotions etc.
In the kitchen we were supplied with cereals, bread and butter, jams and honey etc. each day which was a saving to be able to cook our own breakfast.
The apartment was nice and clean, flat screen TV's in each room. I'd definately stay here again.
This is well located to the shops and a short walk to loads of good restaurants.

we are always disappointed if we cant get accommodation here. its SO central and conveniently located near live theatres, art galleries, movies and great restaurants and taking in the auckland 'buzz'...from the time you arrive until the time you checkout the staff do all they can to make your stay pleasurable. this time we stayed there was a restaurant hiccough to do with the gas cooker. the chef carried on with only a few items unavailable so it wasnt an issue. we have stayed at many other places round the city environs and this is definitely our favorite and fairly quiet considering you are in central city.[and the park on your back doorstep is a great walk up to K'rd on a sunny day]. a BIG thanks to all the staff who helped make our stay memorable. looking forward to our next visit [if you have accommodation available . thanks again..........

We always stay here when we go down to Auckland, and we have never had a problem. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
It is so handy to all that Auckland City offers and great to be able to walk to all the theatres, Aotea Centre and even Vector.
We always request a room overlooking Myers Park as it is much quieter than the road side.
Free parking underneath hotel is a bonus as is the free Continental breakfast that comes with booking.
The rooms are well furnished and the beds comfortable, and its great to be able to do basic cooking if you wish. There is even a washer and dryer in the apartments.

Professional couple travel often, NZ, Australia, Asia. Often use Quest in Australia & NZ. Stayed here for the weekend. The room is ok but below average for Quest. Most of these places have a pretty good cafe attached. This one is dreadful. The cooking facilities didn't work and the cook had a 2 burner camp stove. Worse, the coffee machine had the group heads detached and when I asked (at breakfast!!!) if it was working and she said yes, and I mentioned the group heads being detached and cold, she said 'Yes that's how we use it but we don't do much coffee here.' I wonder why. I opted for the brewed coffee which was predictably weak and bitter. Surprisingy the cooked breaky was ok. 2/5 is generous for the total experience. Oh, and there was a car alarm on the street that went off from 3-5 am.

Dear trvlaoz
Thank you for your feedback, and I agree there is nothing like a bad coffee first thing in the morning. We all have our favorite coffee house and they set a high benchmark for others to follow. Whilst we are proud of the coffee we serve at Quest Auckland we take on board your comments and can certainly keep the the group heads attached. Saying that our beans are freshly roasted & ground and deliver a good creme on top. I'll admit the gas supply was a problem last weekend and the ingenuity of the chef made it possible to deliver cooked breakfast when all else let him down.
Quest Serviced Apartments is a good product and one the traveling community can rely on, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Spent 2 nights here whilst catching up with family in Auckland. The location was perfect for us.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped, with great views of Sky Tower and also of Myers Park. Soft furnishings all new and tastefully co-ordinatated. Very comfortable bed! Complimentary breakfast and free parking a lovely bonus. Staff all very helpful and friendly; will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Request a room facing Myers Park.

We stay here most of the time we visit Auckland. The free breakfast is served in the cafe with a lovely view over Myers Park. It is also free to park in the undercover carpark. Aotea Centre is a five minute walk away and a 15minute walk down Queen Street will get you to the Ferry Terminal and Britomart Station. Auckland Art Gallery is only 10 minutes away. We always ask for a room overlooking Myers Park and we are not disturbed by road noise. It is always very clean and well-maintained.

This was my 6th or 7th stay at the Quest Auckland which is at the top of Queen Street near K Road and I stayed in a different apartment in each of the 2 weeks that I spent there. The apartments are spacious and reasonably well set up, the reception staff are uniformly helpful and there is parking on the underground levels. The apartments are serviced each day and things like soap for the washing machine and the dish washer are replaced. Both the apartments that I stayed in this time had a drying rack for laundry and enough kitchen equipment but everything is all getting a bit tired and in need of a spruce up. In particular both apartments had burn marks in the kitchen counter top that went through to the underlying wood and in one the washing machine was barely functional. For now the good things outweigh the scruffiness but perhaps not for too much longer when there are other choices that don't cost much more and deliver the same amenities.
