Recently visited MOTAT where we saw many trains, cars and planes from bygone days. Bought back many memories. Great interactive space for kids.

Situated near the Auckland Zoo, the Museum of Transport and Technology has locomotives, cars, buses, fire engines and technology of the bygone years, not very interesting for teen agers

Revisited Motat for the first time in ten years - still a great day out for families (better suited to older children) and anyone interested in old times. Saw many additions and improvements that are ongoing -the volunteers are to be applauded. The interactive displays are also fun.
Nice cafe with delicious fare (although vintage background music would add to the atmosphere)
and the nostalgic tram ride around to the aircraft section is delightful.
Just a note: toilets could be of a higher standard.

I loved taking my son to this. I think just playing all the different hands on games and technology. fun fun fun. Definitely one of the best days I have had as a family.

Been here a few times, they have lots of interesting things to learn and do. You really have to get involved in it though, some teens may find it boring. The mirror maze is a big highlight, its well put together. The interactive room is another thing to look foward too. Great seating, Great for families with young kids.
