“Some good exhibits but don't plan a full day.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2011

Some very good exhibits here, particulary some unusual aircraft. They are informatively presented in modern surroundings. The free tram ride between exhibits would be a treat for the kids. Well worth a visit but will only take a few hours to see all of it.

Everything for the big kid and normal size ones too. Don't forget to check out the planes area, ride the tram and steam train too.

“Surprisingly good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2011

I'd been many times as a youngster, but my wife and I went for a few hours recently. Not being during the School Holidays, a number of things were closed or not working. Still, we had a great time. The chase over South Island landscapes in the simulator was good, as was the interactive science section and the old New Zealand section. Our recommendation: go when everything is working (see their website for details). Deals available during School Holidays...

“Unique tram opportunity in Auckland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2011

Originally I had MOTAT in my schedule only for 2 hours. How mistaken I was. I´ve spent the whole day there and it wasn´t enough. Can imagine few more hours. There are plenty of activities, where adults turn into kids (own experience :))

As it was already mentioned here, do not forget about the tram to take you into the aviation part in another location. My partner loved it. He didn´t go by tram for 15 years!!! Don´t forget to explore also the surrounding of MOTAT Aviation surrounding in the 2 nd location. There are plenty of activities and fun things to do.
