A good collection of animals in well-designed enclosures and surroundings. It doesn't have everything but what it does, it does well. Highlights include orangutans and tigers, but plenty for everyone - exotic and New zealand creatures

We took five grandchildren aged from four years to twelve years. They all had an interesting and fun day, there was something for all of them. We found the zoo small by some standards, but that made it easy to get around. The staff were friendly and approachable, pointing out a lioness trying to catch a duck and an ostrich that had laid an egg. Our children were just as amazed with a wondering chicken and her chicks! More shelter from the rain would have been appreciated! The cafe had a good selection of food, but was packed out when it rained, with no where to sit out of the rain with our food. All in all a good day out.
