I knew going up the tower wouldn't be cheap but $33 per person is a bit high considering when we got up there the windows were pretty dirty so getting a good photo was hard! The have lots of staff just standing around so why not chuck a rope on them and clean those god can windows! Other than that it was pretty cool just yeah if you can't see much it's kinda pointless!

Amazing sights. Elevators move like warp speed. If you're 55 or older make sure you ask for "senior" rate because they don't advertise it. On one level they televise a live feed of anybody doing the bungee jump. Entrance to tower not easy to find without asking. You have to take escalator down to below ground level then follow arrows on floor to sky tower. Funny to watch people afraid to get too close to edge and especially to stand on glass in floor with view to bottome of tower.

OK, like all observation towers, they will take your photo and offer a packet of photos at the gift shop as you leave. But you know that as part of the experience of seeing a city from above. SkyTower does offer wonderful views of Auckland, and it's a terrific way to get your bearings if you've new to the city. The souvenir photos, by the way, are well done, and I bought them. :-)

Quick queue line in March 2019. Fantastic views of Auckland from the top. Good clear day could see along way

We were fortunate to be able to ride to the top of the SkyTower about a half an hour before it closed. There was no line and very few people. It was Christmas and the tower, along with Auckland, was lit up.

Definitely worth a visit!
