Owner description: Auckland's Sky Tower is the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, this tower is more than 300 metres high. Offering stunning views, along with award winning restaurants, a gift shop and an opportunity to push your limits by walking the outside of the viewing platforms, or by jumping off from 192 metres above Auckland's CBD.

“Up up & away”

Definate that you need to go up and drink in the 360 degree views over a coffee. You have the added entertainment of watching those people so inclined whistling past the windows as they do a Sky Jump to the ground or take a tethered walk around the top catwalk on the tower, not for me, all though I did consider buying a T-shirt stating I was too scared to jump! Our only gripe was again access for those in wheelchairs. In following the blue disabled signs only led us to a flight of stairs we retraced our steps and were then informed that we should take the lift to a multi level car park, cross the car park and then buzz at a security door where we would be let back into the building where we could access the much needed toilet by now. Sorry but it is one of my whinges.

“Fantastic views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

The views are spectacular as the city of Auckland is laid out before you. Glass floored elevator is interesting and the panes of glass in the floor give one a very different outlook! Good food in the cafe to enjoy watching Auckland Harbour!

“A nice kind of Dizzy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

Haven't been back to Sky Tower for years and was pleasantly surprised about it's updates. Opportunities for photo shop bungy's, friendly staff and free candy floss for my teenage kids at the very top!! They thought that was cool! The height is still overwhelming but it's a nice kind of Dizzy, you feel safe, marvel at the sights and return back to Earth.

“Great, and still scary!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

We did the day and night visit, which is only another $2 to return within 24 hours to see more. My 15yr old son took advantage of my fear of heights by leaning on the glass and standing on the glass floors, but all very safe and thrilling! Plenty of handrails to hold on to if you are scared of heights! Great fun. Good value too.

“Sky Tower”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

Had a trip to the top and got some views of Auckland, wasn't too impressed, you would be better of going to Devonport or the volcano at Mt Eden which are free for a 360 degree view of Auckland City. Sky Tower doesn't look finished just bare concrete on the outside for most of the column could be made a lot better.
