“Go in the morning, grab coffee, enjoy the view”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

I gave the Sky Tower 4 stars because if you've never been to a sky tower before, then you should give it a go. If you have, then probably skip this. The elevator didn't work at the time of day I went, which I'm sure was resolved in an hour but I didn't feel like waiting. I got the student discount by showing my hostel key card. It was nice to enjoy the view with a coffee, but if you don't have time for this don't worry too much.

“Good views”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

A bit touristy but it certainly has good views and lets you get your bearings.
On the basic entrance there are three levels you can go to. There is the main one which has the jump above it, a higher level that is above the jumping area and has bigger windows that are clearer (less green tinge) as well. And there is a level below the main one with a cafe / bar where you can sit and have a drink if you prefer.

“Even good for those afraid of heights”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

As a person who hates heights, I was scared initially to go up and have a view. The staff were constantly reassuring and made sure that I was comfortable and enjoyed my visit

“Top of the world”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Wow! what a great 360 degree view. It gives you a great prospective of the whole area of Auckland. Had a lovely cup of coffee and cake and admired the view. Spent heaps in the gift shop to take home to family, only to have some things taken from me at the airport...silly me for not putting it in my suitcase. Hope they enjoy my $31.78 bottle of manuka honey, and body cream..ha! ha!

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

We stayed at the skytower hotel as well as going up top. The rooms are very good, there was even a special touch of welcome chocs as it was a special occassion. The views from the top are great too, and we dined in the buffet restuarant. This was our only disappointment but if you like seafood you can not go wrong. The breakfasts were fine though and even the gift shop had a nice variety of momentoes. Well worth a visit, there is also the visitor isite and casino to visit as well.
