Excellent. Not only location wise but amenity wise. We booked a high floor one bed apartment and was pleasantly surprised. Everything you could ask for. Beautiful view, quiet apartment, lovely decor. Nice big bathroom with shower and bath. Separate laundry with washer and dryer, functional kitchen with dishwasher. (one little bug: there was no instruction manual / card for the dishwasher) Ample cupboard space. Spa bath and fitness centre.
Very well situated for downtown shopping, close to Britomart if you intend making use of the train or bus. Airport bus departs a very short walk from the hotel. Friendly staff.

We were in a 2 bedroomed apartment on the 14th floor. My kids loved the swimming pool and spa area and this was one of the main reasons I decided to stay here. Location is ideal and being able to park in the building made life a lot easier. Rooms were spacious. I have given this a very good rating because the room was not ready on our arrival at 3.30pm so this was a little disappointing and the sofa bed had not been organised.

We enjoyed our short stay at Quay West Suites in Auckland nothing was a problem. The suite was very well presented and we had a lovely view of the harbour. Had a casual meal in their eatery and this was great as well.
We would definitely use them again. Thank you

Room Tip: we were in suite 1605 great view and very comfortable.

Not what I expected, based upon the previous reviews at 5*
Nice hotel, great central location; not much to offer on the food front but it is an apartment hotel.
Our room was large and fuctional, "everything they said, on the tin," clean and presentable.
Because of the location you can see all that Auckland has to offer. The ferry terminal was 250 meters down hill and all the associated attractions for food and beverage on the piers, made for an enjoyable stay. The Providor with happy hour 3pm until 7pm was certainly worth a visit. $8 for a beer and a vodka with mixer for my better half, was good value indeed.
I would recommend the hotel However, again they use the same old scam on internet at $25 per 24 hours, so don't be fooled!

Room Tip: Go for a high floor with sea view, really nice. Otherwise you will be looking at just another buildi...

When I have to go to Auckland for work, I loathe staying in cramped, sterile, benign hotel rooms - have done that far too much for far too long in too many countries. Quay West was a last minute pick, based on the fact that I had been fed-up with my last AKL experiences at The Hilton,Copthorne etc. I could not have been more delighted. From the initial meeting with the staff at reception, when I was tired and ready to digest yet another stomach full of jaded staff and underwhelming decor and amenities, I was delighted to be met by an effervescent staff that were sincerely keen to get myself and my partner efficiently settled in. Not only was he sharp, bright and eager to please (without being over zealous) he was keen to help me find bookings for a couple of key restaurants that I wanted to go to over the weekend, but had neglected to book. The accommodation was spacious, incorporating many separate rooms, and the spacious balcony made coming back from work each night, a simple delight. A bottle of Man-O-War on the deck, over looking the harbor, in a well presented hotel room with efficient but respectful and friendly staff, will make this a destination that I encourage my Company to use for our team meetings in the future. Full marks!

Room Tip: I think the staff automatically help you find the best room - a nice touch

We were saved from thinking all Auckland Accomodation was pint sized money making schemes by Quay West Apartments on Albert Street. Simply perfection would sum up our view, from the carparking, to the well-presented lifts, cleanlyness, quality and size of the apartments, the pleasant surprise at the wonderful facilities, the kindness and courtesy shown to us by the smiling, happy staff. We are already planning our next stay at Quay West and have been happy to tell everyone who asks "how was your weekend in Auckland?" that it was fantastic thanks to Quay West!

Room Tip: We stayed in the corner two bedroom apartment and were able to watch the hustle and bustle of the ci...

Two nights in this large suite hotel in the centre of Auckland. The room is very large, great water and city views, well-equipped and in reasonable good shape although it is showing its age. Excellent for a city stay where there is plenty to do. This is a short walk from the large range of waterfront eateries and few hotels offer such good value rooms this close to the night time action.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room on the water city of the building
