We booked a night away in Auckland on a whim and was looking forward to trying out a new hotel we got on special for the night.
We arrived in Auckland city, and as any non-Aucklander knows, and instantly felt a bit confused. We pulled into the valet to check if we could check in an hour early as the kids needed to get out of the car. The first thing I was told was I wasn't allowed to park there - which I understood ha ha. I explained I wanted to see if we could check in early before we parked in the garage and pulled the kids and luggage out. Luckily we could! The room was nice and adequate. The window opening freaked us out a little as they were at little hand height. All in all the room was nice. The next day I needed something printed and the business centre printer wasn't working but Jinny was fabulous and got it printed for us. Breakfast service was very friendly although the wrong omelette came out but by that point we weren't waiting around for another one to be made with a one year old and a three year old itching to go. They loved the novelty of the escalator and I am glad we didn't get growled for taking the kids up it a couple times! Nice property all in all and the parking for $20 was very reasonable.

Atrium-style hotel with updated rooms, which are large for a city hotel in this price point. Clean and good service. Excellent central CBD location, walking distance to waterfront, University, theaters etc. Large tiled bathroom with separate tub/shower.

Room Tip: Construction project behind hotel may bother some travelers, if so, ask for room toward front of hotel. It did not affect me

The Rooms are very clean and well maintained - close proximity to shops/dining/movies/shows/walking/sightseeing. Dining at the hotel has everything you need and the staff are excellent and very helpful. Found it all very relaxing for a night away from it all.

Room Tip: We have found the rooms we have been allocated when there have been spot on.

Staff were super customer service orientated and went above my expectations in terms to assist me with special requests. Nothing was a problem for them.
Room service menu was in definitely need of some changes.

I was surprised at how friendly, engaging and helpful the staff were. This hotel prides itself on its customer service and is above and beyond it’s competitors. The bathroom is lovely and big, the gym too and the pool is huge and usually empty.

Special mention must go to the two hotel phone operators, Aseem and Matei. They took all of our niggling requests and did so promptly. Whether it was Room Service, Robes or Late Checkout. Aseem was helpful and courteous. Matei was friendly and encouraging. Also the Tongan Waitress at the Brasserie stood out (apologies for not getting your name); she was friendly, hardworking and attentive.

Would stay again.
