The room was nicely decorated, spacy, and luxury. We stayed at the junior suite and found we could have choosen the luxury room with marina view instead (We found the room was bigger than we expected.). The bed was a bit soft for my liking but still comfortable enough with good quality linen and bedding. There were 4 types of tea and an espresso machine for coffee lovers.
The in-room service menu was one of the best I have even seen. We ordered a battered fish with chips in the afternoon and it was the same as what you would get in their Lava dining restaurant. (We had dinner that night with our friends in the restaurant and our friend ordered the same dish. That's how I know they are exactly the same, quality and presentation.) It is good to know you are still getting decent food for whatever reason that you just want to stay in the room instead of heading out.
The staff were all very friendly. There were a few things they could have done better though. When we checked in, the reception didn't tell us where the breakfast buffet will be served and they couldn't book the restaurant in the hotel for us, either. They did contact the restaurant to give us a call for the booking which is not too bad, but it seems to double the work for the staff. Also a staff entered our room without knocking the door not long after we checked in. He said he didn't know we had checked in and apologized. It should have never happened and could lead to a major complaint.
Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay in the hotel and would stay again.
