We loved our day paddling to Rangitoto!!! So worth it!! Nic was wonderful. He picked us up and dropped us off in town. He was so knowledgable and made the day so fun with his enthusiasm an stories. We had a great hike up to the peak of rangitoto and a delicious dinner! And sea-kayaking back to Auckland at night was such a unique experience...one that I will not soon forget. A great experience that I highly recommend.

“Trip to Rangitoto Island - A Fantastic Day”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

It was the first time for me to kayak. But it was so much fun. Arriving at Rangitoto we got some snacks and coffee. After that we walk to the top of Rangitoto with a great view over Auckland and we discovered a little hidden cave. After the walk we got some tasty lunch. It was an awesome experience.

“Beautiful, flexible, and fabulous”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

After a tail end of wild weather roughing up the Auckland Harbour, Nic from Auckland Sea Kayaks provided another option over 24 hrs beforehand to allow any changes of plan we had to make. (There was a refund involved and this was processed promptly.)After our pickup from the motel, a gorgeous drive out of Auckland, a yum morning tea and coffee, we launched our kayaks into the Puhoi river. The equipment, jackets etc were excellent, making the trip down the river not only beautiful but comfortable too. Nic was an amazing host and our afternoon with him was a fabulous way to wrap up our family adventure holiday.

“Evening paddle to Rangitoto Island”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We loved the paddle out to Rangitoto Island...departed shortly after 4pm, paddled through easily managed swells to the Island, walked to the volcano peak and had a beautiful view of Auckland Harbour at sunset, and surrounding islands....followed by a simple but delicious supper on the island and a night paddle back to shore, returning close to 10 pm. Paddlers are provided tandem kayaks that are quite stable and suitable for beginners or intermediate paddlers...great guide. Highly recommended! Washrooms are available on shore and on Rangitoto. Bring appropriate footwear for the walk, dry bags are provided to securely store in kayak hatches.

“What a fun day - Just do it :) :)!”

Sunset / Night Kayak - Rangitoto Island

First day of a short stop over in Auckland & It just couldn't have been better.
I was travelling on my own, never kayaked before & absolutely loved the trip:

Nic responded to my enquiry quickly, picked me up & dropped me off safely. He's a fun, enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide. Whether Nic's stories, the fun of combining kayaking with an amazing view of Auckland first during day light and later the exciting paddle back in the dark after viewing the spectacular sunset & having yummy food with great people: It remains one of my favourite experience during my world trip.

Great people, fun experience, stunning photos :)
Whether you've kayaked before or not, want to do sightseeing a bit differently or just a fun experience: You've thought of it already, just go for it :)!

Thanks Nic, your parents and the lovely people on the trip :)!
See you again some time
