Description: Café Hanoi is a modern Vietnamese restaurant housed within a heritage warehouse space in Britomart, the city’s oldest commercial district. The restaurant reflects our passion and respect for Vietnamese food and culture. Our menu offers authentic Hanoian street food that has made the city world famous, and other more modern dishes that pair traditional Northern Vietnamese cooking techniques with the best of New Zealand produce. We are very careful to choose ingredients that have been sourced with a deep respect for the environment.

Went last to Cafe Hanoi with a group of 12. Quite a neat place, although relatively packed-in like many Britomart eateries. Waitress was attentive, we opted to ignore the menu and they just brought out many different plates to share. All food was delicious. However the highlight for me was the ginger mojitos, best cocktail ever!

Food is quiet pricey and this would be somewhere for a treat, but wouldn't be disappointed. All they need is a view!

We went to Café Hanoi for lunch while up in Auckland on Holiday.
Service from the beginning to end was great, the waiter was very informative and friendly.
We didn't have a wait for a table as it appears other reviewers have, maybe because we were in for lunch not dinner.
The food was fantastic, Vietnamese flavours with a western twist.
As we were having a late lunch instead of eating dinner that night we tried quite a few dishes with the standout favourites being the Queensland Prawns and the Caramelised Pork Belly. We also had the Clams and Market Fish which were both divine.
We will be back when in Auckland next.

We like this restaurant. It's at busy Britomart but a little hard to find - until you see the little red door. Outside it looks a bit unspectacular. Once in though, you get the feeling this is somewhere special. Modern decor, friendly layout - and a very inviting menu. We were there early so there were no crowds/queues. Waitress gave us some recommendations/explanations, and all the dishes we ordered were excellent. The two of us ordered prawn dumplings, beef noodle soups, pork skewers, tiger prawns - all were very tasty and quite unique. Price was pretty reasonable given the quality. If ever this restaurant decides to open a branch in Wellington, I am sure it would be very popular! We will be back next time in Auckland.

Having just returned from Vietnam, I loved this place. Authentic Vietnamese flavours, but with a western guarantee of freshness and quality. Yes, you pay for this, but the servings are large and still great value. We were seated immediately (2pax @ 7pm Saturday) but be prepared to wait. It's worth it.

I went to Cafe Hanoi with two girlfriends for dinner. You can't book, so be prepared to wait or go early. We went mid week at 6.30pm so it wasn't a problem but the place was still 3 quarters full. The waiter we had was very friendly, gave us suggestions when asked and generally added to our experience. The food was exquisite, we shared 4 dishes and had dessert which was equally delightful. We shared a bottle of bubbly, and then also had a round of dessert wines; the total including a small tip was $70 per person which I thought was very good for a great dining experience. Would definitely recommend, and will be back.
