“Birthday Brunch Disaster”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

Was there on Sunday just gone, for brunch with some friends. All have young children. Ordered the Potato Hash Cake, which I thought sounded yum but turned out to be disgusting. Found a black curly hair two bites into it. Had too much Cumin Seeds, and the potato was just mashed. Then they brought out the sauce on a separate plate (not a bowl) and said they forgot to put the sauce on. I went and complained to the very young girl behind the counter and she just looked at me like she didn't know what to do with it. She then went out the back to tell the Chef. She came back and continued to serve other customers and didn't even let me know what was going on. No offer of refund and no apology from the chef. The table we were sat at was sticky and the place looked run down. Useless staff, terrible food. Won't be going back, ever.

“Crystal Mountain”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

We took out 2 young grandsons on a Sunday morning. It opened at 10am and we arrived shortly after. We were unsure where to get the tickets (it was our first visit) and we had grab one vouchers. Discovered that they were to be obtained at the cafe and we were underway. Decided to go on the train, had a front like a train but was actually on tyres. Got on it and waited for ages while the tyres were all checked for air. This was about 10.45 by this time and one would have expected this to be done before opening and the public arriving.
The boys didn't seem to mind the wait and we were underway around the park. We got off and walked around and saw the animals and after some time the dinosaurs eventually came to life which was fun.
The other rides were extra and didn't seem to last for long so managed to avoid them with some persuasion. The was a playground which the boys enjoyed but some of the areas I consider could do with serious maintenance before there are some accidents.
Would I go again? Perhaps not.

“2nd Birthday Party”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014

We love going to Crystal Mountain. My daughter had her 2nd birthday party here and everyone had a great time seeing the animals and going on the rides - especially the roller coaster. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The birthday food, platters for the adults and coffees were awesome and great value. I take advantage of the "Coffee Club" which is $5. This gives me a hot drink, entry into the park and a train ride.

“Great days entertainment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

I took my two girls (3 and 1) plus my niece and nephew (7 and 11) and they all had a blast. The 3yo cried when it was time to leave. The pony rides were delightful. The kids fed the ponies carrots which was a great learning curve! The roller coaster was an absolute hit with the 7yo niece and a first for my 3yo. The 7yo also loved driving the funky tractors. The interactive dinosaurs were an interesting addition and feeding the goats, donkeys and other assorted animals was fun for my townie kids. All the kids enjoyed the crystal 'cave' (display room underground). It was a little pricey food wise but the meals were perfectly adequate and the tables etc were clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back again although not as often as Miss 3 would like as it is quite expensive for the unlimited ride pass.... But worth every cent if you go for the day.

“Disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014 via mobile

Took our two boys there and was extremely disappointed, very dated and run down. Staff not friendly, except for girl in cafe. Cafe was dirty and not a good selection of food on offer. Would not recommend it to anyone, maybe time to either bring up the standard or close it down!!!!
