Very clean modern rooms, spacious for two with fully equipped kitchens. One bedroom apartment but could comfortably sit and sleep three. Good location, easy walk to city centre and supermarket nearby.

Lots of good and bad things about this hotel. We were at the back and lots of windows made it light and airy, but also very public, with a car park and office block surrounding the room. Nice and spacious 2 bedroom suite, at a reasonable price, but I wasn't keen on the soap dispensers in the shower and over the hand basin. I'm sure they're very economical, but they just remind me of public toilets. The hotel is a handy to walk to Queen Street, the ferry terminal and the train station. Also handy for the restaurants at Britomart and Viaduct.
We'd booked a car for the rest of our journey, but had to get a taxi to it's Auckland office from the hotel. There's plenty of car hire places in the same street as the hotel - wish we'd known about these before, as they would have been much more convenient.
Our biggest bugbear however was with a bottle of water placed prominently on entry to the room. We've travelled extensively in Europe where complimentary bottles of water are common, so welcomed the water after our travels. It wasn't until we read the hotel information book that we discovered the bottle cost us $7. On closer inspection, there is a very small price printed on the cardboard tag on the bottle neck. On check out, we mentioned to the receptionist that we had used the bottle and that it might be a good idea to have the price more prominently featured on the bottle neck tag. She just laughed (not quite our expected reaction) and said she agreed with us. We were charged for the room and bottle of water and signed for this. When we checked our bank account details, there was an extra charge on the same day for another $7, which I presume was for the bottle of water again. I sent an email to the hotel over 2 weeks ago querying the extra charge and am still waiting for a reply. Without this bottle water fiasco, I would have given the hotel a higher rating, but it's really starting to annoy me...

I stayed here recently for two nights, and the booking was made by my company not by me. I was put in a two bedroom apartment, even though I was the only traveler. The smaller of the two bedrooms is an inside room with no windows. I was not informed that there is no daily room servicing -only weekly, I was told, when I inquired about this. I understand the NZ fervor surrounding their All Blacks, and the proximity of this hotel to the arena, but to have an apartment that is furnished in large black furniture (sofas, chairs, table and TV unit) together with a black carpet throughout - this created a dark and closed-in feel about it all, and I found it rather dull, lifeless, cold and certainly not creating a warm inviting atmosphere. The bathroom was narrow, with no bath toiletries apart from a shower dispenser (that worked) and a soap dispenser by the bathroom sink that was empty / did not work. I had an apartment at the back and while there was no street noise, there was considerable construction noise from a building under construction beside the apartment block. Internet is not free, not even in the lobby. The loudish music in the lobby does not make it a conducive place at all to connect, anyway. There are plenty of cafes around the city, within walking distance, providing free internet. My interactions with staff were minimum, and they were pleasant.

Room Tip: If you have expectations before you arrive, do ask about them and clarify first. The staff do not s...

Nice and new but nothing special. Car park was a bit of a maze away. Staff not very friendly. Unpleasant smell in bedroom. Very limited supplies in bathroom and kitchen. Quite loud. But warm, clean, comfortable and a handy location.

C lean and modern apts that are handy for the centre of the city, albeit there is a fairly steep hill to climb from Queen Street. Did not have much contact with the staff as there was no reason to speak with them between check-in and check-out. The apartments are well appointed and cleaned every day, with tea/coffee/milk and dishwasher tabs replenished daily.

It was ok for one night but for a family of 4 it was way too small. The hotel accidentally overcharged us but rang us a week later to tell us about it refunding the amount. Really impressed. Close to everything and very quiet. Would be very good for couples.

We stayed here for 5 nights and were really impressed at the high quality of the amenities and very reasonable price for an inner city apartment. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities, when travelling with small children was ideal. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a junior suite because the room wasnt quite ready when we arrived to check in and we weren't disappointed. I didn't hear any construction noise - a few rowdy revellers over the weekend at night - but nothing to really worry about and it certainly wouldn't put me off staying here again. We will definitely back - for the price, the excellent inner-city location and superior amenities (make sure you check out the Vietnamese restaurant on the ground floor - awesome food!!)
