Wynyard Quarter looks good and makes for a pleasant walk, but it's nothing in an of itself. It is merely a way to access the restaurants, Silo Park (also not much of a destination in an of itself), or the Maritime Museum, etc. The drawbridge is quite fun to watch in action should you happen to arrive onsite at the same time as a largish yacht wanting access beneath it.

Pleasantly warm winter's day. Great to stroll around taking in the sights. Watching the boats heading out with the draw bridge being raised. Great elevated walkway. There was an open air cinema for children. A paddling area in one corner of the harbour was unexpected.

Strolled along the wharf area...checked out some interesting architecture and visited the fish markets, had a coffee, little ones played and ran around on the nice play areas and had a most enjoyable afternoon.

After good walk from CBD, I reached Wynyard Quarter. There are a lot of fine dinning to midrange restaurants, cafes, and bars. The view of waterfront is amazing too.

Still being developed, the Wynyard Quarter is worth a walking tour. Great restaurants and some well-designed buildings to enjoy on your walk around the waterfront. Watch this area flourish as it builds capacity for the America's Cup.
