I recommend you do NOT dine here.sloppy service, bad food, Ordered Pizza for 1 teenager, it was so dry and flavourless it was like eating cardboard. ordered bacon & cheese fettucine for other teen and got Spinach fettucine, when I queried this I was told they used Spinach fettucine as standard. This was NOT stated on the menu. Steak my husband had was ordered as medium, I like mine rare and even I would not have eaten it, it was so undercooked, and also fatty & grisly.didnt order dessert as we couldnt wait to get out of there

“Dubious beginning but a good ending”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2011

Felt a little like being in Asia as we were cajoled into dining here whilst wandering Princes Wharf looking at various eateries - calls of, "Come and have a beer for $5"; "Come taste the food, you like", etc. but that's Princes Wharf for you - not all the hosts are as vocal but you certainly do get hustled by all eateries.

Sat outside in the sunshine - too cold in the shade but too windy for the umbrella to be up so a little uncomfortable but the view across the harbour was nice and the menu was definitely large with lots of choice, specials and so on.

Some of the party had pizza and others pasta and all were good, standard café fare. Large portions, good value for money.

What began as a slightly uncomfortable lunch with being wary of the very vocal and lively hostess ended with us all appreciating her excellent knowledge of the menu and her enthusiasm for ensuring that we had what we needed.

Good for a quick bite before having a stroll or going into the Maritime Museum.

“Lousy Service, tasteless food - diner atmosphere”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2011

Along Prince's Wharf's restaurant row - lots of people trying to get you into these places (similar to circus barkers). They had three women trying to get people to eat in here on 12/26 and ONE porter/waiter/busboy for the entire place.

We received our wine 30 minutes after sitting down, sign out front said all wine $5 a glass during happy hour, we were charged $8 for extremely cheap tasting wine.

Our meals ordered (filet and prawns) turned out to be a cheap, fatty sirloin with three pathetic shrimp. Nasty potatos and some sort of sauce. Overcooked and chewy on the meat and shrimp (I had ordered my steak medium, but after waiting over 45 minutes, i was not about to send it back)

The waiter/busboy was constantly bringing the wrong orders to the wrong tables, and the ladies were just standing out front. Also seems the owner of this restaurant (more like a diner) seems to own a few other restaurants in this row and the waiter was running to other places.

It was a holiday (boxing day) so we were also charged a 15% fee for the holiday (standard across NZ).

Dont waste you time, go to the bars/restaurants around the viaduct a few blocks over - much higher quality, better staff and they dont have half the staff trying to get you to come into the restaurant!
