“Fine dining at its best”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

This is the second time eating at opus and i was just as impressed if not more. The service was outstanding, not over the top, extremely friendly yet professional. The restaurant was beautifully presented, spacious, slightly dimmed lit by candle light. The wine list was impeccable. Such a huge array of veriety which complemented each of our dishes. I could not fault the food just "wow" every element on the plate complemented each other to the highest standard with very generous portion sizes that left me very full and satisfied. Our night was topped of with a beautiful petit fours. The detail put into this was outstanding i was very impressed and eagerly await my return. A must restaurant to visit you will not be disappointed and very well earned number one restaraunt in perth.

“Well deserved rating”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

This was our second visit to Opus, the last time being in 2012. There is a new chef who commenced I think in December 2012. We had the degustation menu with matching wine - expensive but outstanding food and presentation. Highlights were the warm smoked ocean trout which is served on a hot stone, and the passionfruit soufflé. Wines were amazing, especially the Dutcher Crossing Taylor reserve Cab Sauv 2003 from California.

My only criticism would be that some of the other diners who were having a private function were overly noisy for what is a fine dining establishment.

“nice find in perth”

Came here due to the recommendation off trip advisor.
Delicious food and prompt proffessional service.
Extensive wine service.
Can be expensive but if money doesn't bother you then go for it.

“Culinary dining at it's best but i didn't it a "5"”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

This restaurant is a bit of a hide away. It is located within the Richardson hotel so you probably would not realise a restaurant is located inside but the moment you enter it is sure class. The interior is welcoming and modern. You can relax and enjoy the dinning experience. It is not nosy or over- crowded and there are enough space between each table which is exactly what you want when doing fine dining. The staff are attentive and professional.

Now for the food, It is a little pricey but lovely. I especially love the freshly made warm bread and the chefs complimentary tasting plate. My husband's main, a rib eye steak was beautiful.

However, I was a little disappointed with my sriploin, its was a bit chewy and little rare for me

But take nothing away from the night it was a great dining experience. They also have a lovely wine selection with some very expensive bottles. Would definitely recommend
