Well..if you don't mind being stuck in Chinatown, then this is the hotel for you! Found it to be quite a hike to all the stores (15min at least in 35°C heat is a bit much) Tons of hostels around with alot of kids and backpackers. Hotel nothing special. Had a room with a fake window with a picture of a beach in it..."how stupid"!. Pillows were like sleeping on rocks. Nothing but Asian restaurants around the vicinity. Hubby and I were quite disappointed with the whole thing. The hotel is really off the beaten track and down some little one way street in Northbridge. Breakfast was nothing special at all and had it not been included in our trip, would certainly not have paid for the buffet. Not sure why they charge hotel guests $10 for parking..it's not a secure parking lot..anybody can walk into it...Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

I work in Northbridge and have had the opportunity to book staff and visiting travellers into this hotel a number of times over the last 3 years. In November 2010 we hired the function room for a conference and booked 12 rooms. Although I did not stay there personally this time the comments we all favourable from our conference attendees which prompted me to write this review. I did eat at the buffet lunch and had morning and afternoon tea there each day of the conference and the food was tasty, good value and plenty of it, (thumbs up for the Thai green chicken curry I had). The staff were courteous and helpful at all times.
I did stay there last year when we had the same conference and the room was clean, comfortable and no complaints at all. Most importantly for me the bed and pillows were comfy and it was quiet. I dont know if it is quiet every night but it is tucked away on a side street, not on a main street so I imagine it would be. It is located on the edge of Northbridge, 10 mins walk from the hotel to the main area of Northbridge and as Northbridge is only a 5 minute walk into the city its a nice option. I would stay there again and I would recommend my guests stay there if they choose Northbridge

Arriving late in the evening, found the hotel by GPS.
There's a carpark with an overnight charge of A$10, which is fine.
The room has no window, but a faked one with a light which automatically switched on by the morning. The room is smaller that it seemed in the pictures.
In general, fine; except that the kettle was not usable because of the dirt / rust in it. Horrible indeed. The staff on duty was kind enough to bring us a pot of hot water though.
