We had leisurely lunch there on a Saturday and the restaurant was a lovely place to enjoy a nice meal with lots of cold and hot options and great desserts. We found that for the entrees and salad options for the buffet, the cream of vegetable soup, potato salad and cold/smoked chicken legs a tad salty but all the other entrees were good especially the mussels which were very fresh. We didn't try the lamb tikka and rice but the roast beef, broccoli and cauliflower gratin, potatoes and roast pumpkin were tasty. The Black Forest cake and lemon sponge were the best desserts and my husband liked the chocolate mousse. There were many varieties of tea which was nice. The coffee was ok. Service was good and plates were cleared regularly. This is a good buffet lunch but some people may find the $37 price tag for lunch a bit steep. Popular with families who always book the function room at the back. We like its central location at the junction of Pier and Murray Sts and parking is easy in the multistorey carpark just across from the restaurant.
