Stayed at the Perth ambassador hotel and as it was late walked across the road to this restaurant which is on the ground floor of the Pan Pacific restaurant. Read a previous review about how empty the restaurant was which was a little off putting. Sat down anyway and then was surprised about the quality and taste of the food. Was it because I was tired and anything tasted good...don't think so.
Had the pork belly as a starter but it was small considering the price. Nevertheless I would have it again now that I have had it once. Colleague had the scallops/fish and thought it excellent.
For mains we had the lamb cutlets and duck...both were outstanding. Service was quite good although the waitresses did tend to be strangers a lot. All part of a learning process for them.
No desserts or coffee and with a bottle of red wine, one beer and a glass of white wine the bill was $194 so its not a cheap night. I believe you will enjoy the experience though just don't get hung up on the small stuff.
