I guess that there may be a misguided prejudice against hotel restaurants in general as some do coast along sustained by the patronage of the tired or lazy guest,
However, this one formerly the River Room at the Sheraton, would prosper as a stand alone venue.
It offers a tantalizing menu complemented by a well chosen wine list..
I dined here 3 trimes on my recent holiday and it was excellent every time. If you can get a window table, there is a lovely sunset view accross the palms by the swimming pool.
The staff are well marshalled by an attentive manageress so the service is prompt.
The hotel changed hands last year from The Sheraton to The Pan Pacific and no doubt the new management are anxious to maintain a high stanmdard.
