Wonderful service - very attentive, which is not often found in Australian restaurants. The food was fresh and well presented. Lovely location on the Swan River. Not a cheap night out but an enjoyable experience

We wanted to try the local crustacean called MARRON....
This well - situated downtown water front restaurant fit the bill.
Nice wines by the glass and warm welcoming interior on a coldish night.
We shared the octopus salad and then we each had a marron....split and grilled perfectly. A bowl of fresh vegetables complemented it. Delightful.
The menu could benefit from more green salad choices. It is a good local place.

Some friends and I stumbled on this little gem situated right by the river. We were all new to Perth and so did not know where to go. We asked the hotel concierge to book us into somewhere nearby and after trying a couple of other restaurants he booked us into Halo.
The approach to the restaurant gives no idea that you are going to find this little gem tucked away so don't be put off. Once inside try and get a window seat with views of the river . The meal was excellent, I had a baramundi fillet for my main which was delicious. The red snapper to start was also lovely but if eating raw fish is not to your taste make sure you read the menu or ask the waiter. My dessert of coconut mousse over a layer of victoria spong with a passion fruit coulis was excellent.Service efficient if just a little pretentious.

Remember - it is Perth. It is difficult to find outstanding hospitality industry in Perth.

But this place was good. Not quite great but good. Good food, good wine list, good dessert, good service. Not great, but good.

Value … Reasonable for Perth, a little pricey for other places.

It was a stunning sunny Autumn day and we wanted fine dining by the water and Halo was the perfect choice.

the food, staff and ambiance was excellent and you really can't ask for a better water view in Perth on a sunny day. the sirloin was cooked perfectly and my fiance had the barramundi which was also very good.

A nice bottle of chardonnay from Denmark accompanied the meal and we left very happy.

We used our Entertainment Card which made the price a little better. We a looking forward to returning soon.
