A small intimate hotel restaurant with exceptional service, an interesting menu & great food. We celebrated out 20th wedding anniversary here and the staff were amazing - we felt like very special guests.

We (husband and wife) stayed two nights and experienced wonderful service and food at the hotel. The X factor was the staff that showed excellent customer service that was personalised and professional. We met the manager, Derek, who was attentive to his staff, keen to support his young and motivated crew. A bit expensive (we Accor card so ok for us) but the quality of the food, together with the staff commitment made it worth while as a getaway treat for us. Same experience in the breakfast area- relaxed with espresso coffees that hit the spot to start the day. Joe from the breakfast crew was very attentive! Thank you to all!

I had a Living Social Voucher for this restaurant and as it was the last day, thought we should give it a try even if it turned out to be disappointing. Booked a table for 7pm, arrived 10 mins early but were shown to our table. For the first time in a good while, I was spoilt for choice on starters and main course (having a limited diet). I chose the Scallops and hubby had the crab, which was more like a prawn cocktail. I had the lamb for main and hubby had a steak with a side of mash. The steak was very large, would definitely go back just for that. We made it to deserts which were very well presented and just enough to finish off. We got two glasses of red wine with the voucher which was good quality for a house red. All in all the service was a little slow, they could have done with one more person, however it was nice to be able to have a long dinner with plenty of time to digest each course. Great if you're not in a hurry, might be annoying if you've somewhere to be. Definitely will go back, prices were high but not out of the ordinary for Perth. The dining area is just at the front of the hotel overlooking the street so not very romantic but quiet enough so you forget where you are.

Firstly, service was good, but that is where the positives end. Entrees: blue manner salad, was a teaspoon of room temperature crab that tasted like it came straight out of a can on a glass full of lettuce, mine was twice cooked pork belly, what they didn't give me was a chain saw to cut it with. The serve was generous for an entree but nearly all fat and tough as my ol' boots...yuk Main course: Wife has Atlantic salmon....supposed to be presented medium but was overcooked to the max. My rib eye was tasty enough but obviously from a very old cow as this prime cut was certainly not up to standard or MSA grade and if they hadn't supplied the extra sharp steak knife I would have had to re crank the chain saw. Wine: well probably should have been left in the pharmacy on the shelf with the rest of the cough medicines...enough said! Finally, we visited this eating house on a scoop on voucher, these vouchers designed to showcase a business so customers are encouraged to return, so wouldn't it be smart to impress people rather than turn them off ever coming again? Worked for me, somewhere different tonight.
