My family (husband, 2 teenagers and myself) stayed over Christmas in a 2 bedroom apartment. We also stayed at the same period of time last year. For the price I was a bit skeptical but we took the plunge. Yes, the units are tired and well worn, but the price does not promise 4 or 5 star luxury. Air conditioners were a welcome addition as it was very hot this year. We had no problem with noise (traffic noise if we left the balcony doors open). A broken soap dispenser was attended too very quickly (couldn't be fixed). Restaurant was closed, but it was Christmas and that was ok as we walked into the city and found somewhere else. Pool area is basic but at least you have the choice of a pool if you want. Undercover parking is a bonus (it is not too hard to carry the piece of paper with the codes on).
Approach the staff in a friendly manner and it is reciprocated.
For a family, it is a reasonably priced alternative. We take our own 'basic' food stuffs e.g. breakfast foods and drinks, then wander the city and enjoy what it has to offer.
If you are after lavish attention to detail and the latest in everything, I would suggest that you look at booking somewhere else and paying more.More
