Visited on Sunday 17th November. It was good to see this building still there and being looked after.

This is an impressive building that gets a little lost amid the high rise of Perth. It is the only Gothic style town hall in Australia and the only one built by convicts. Worthy of a look.

This is a lovely mid 19th century restored building, which gives the area an "old time charm".
There were no tours available during our visit, so we enjoyed the building from the outside, instead.

By the mid 1860s, WA had failed to thrive, so the people of Perth actually requested that WA accept convicts. The convicts built many things, most notably the Perth Town Hall. The Town Hall has now been restored to its former glorious condition, it's worth seeing and very easy to find.
