Owner description: Talijancich Wines is synonymous with great character and complexity and is renowned for award-winning wines including Verdelho, Shiraz and luscious, aged Fortified Liqueurs. Using only Swan Valley fruit, each vine is nurtured by hand and biodynamic principles are upheld. Three generations of winemakers are behind the reputation of Talijancich Wines, which was established in 1932. Situated in the heart of the Swan Valley, the winery is owned and operated by winemaker, James Talijancich and his wife, Hilda. We invite you to our cellar door where our friendly staff will take you on a narrated tasting journey of our wines. Cheeseboards consisting of a gourmet selection of local cheeses are available for purchase to complement your wine tasting or to just enjoy out on the deck with a glass of wine. Come and visit us for a truly memorable wine tasting experience.

“Croatia in the Swan Valley”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

Viticulture in the present-day Croatia existed hundreds of years before the rise of the Roman Empire. I believe that the original Talijancich who started the winery in the Swan Valley just did what came naturally...I thank him for that.

“I wanted to give them excellent but . . .”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

All the wines were excellent, the discount was excellent, the service was excellent (Thanks Chantelle), even the cheese dish for $10 was excellent. My son and I spent over $120 on wine and it didn't take us long to drink it.
So I emailed 3 times, to ask the if the same offer was still available, but no reply. What a let down!

“Well Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

With so many attractions in the Swan Valley, it was great to visit a small winery with an excellent pedigree focused on quality. The service person was experienced and friendly, and we enjoyed the tasting journey of wines and fortifieds. The 2006 Reserve Verdelho was a worthy purchase to remember the day.

“A quality winery with a great history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

This winery would have to be recognised by all the refugees who arrived in Australia in the 40's and 50's, as that great wine was available in the Swan Valley.
It is still going stong and is a quality wine producer. They are a master in fortified wines.
They cannot produce enough to meet demand.. It is a great place to visit and you are given an excellent selection of wines to taste with the knowledge given to satisfy your taste reactions.

“Grenache”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

This winery is located just off the highway in Hyem Rd Herne Hill. It looked interesting so we thought we would sample the wines. The Grenache was offered for tasting and although i consider myself to be a novice it is my humble opinion that there are lots of good wines yet this to me is a great wine. Do not miss trying the fortified wines as well.
I would definately put this winery on your must visit list
