After having had Royal Cambodia recommended to us, we tried it out on Monday night and we were very pleased. This is a small restaurant but situated in a lovely spot in East Perth by the side of a small landscaped lake.
The food was a mix of Asian cuisines from what we could tell (can't remember what the Cambodian cuisine from our 2005 trip consisted of specifically) but we enjoyed each of the 3 dishes we tried - Teriyaki Chicken, a sizzling lamb dish and a spicy beef dish. These 3 dishes plus steamed rice fed the 3 of us well... we were struggling on the last few mouthfuls but determined not to leave any of the delicious food.
The cost seemed very reasonable at about $15-$20 per dish and being that they are BYO you can save or splurge on your drinks as you desire. There is a Vintage Cellars around the corner.
All up, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and will be back to try more of the very appetising menu. Great for a casual meal with friends or a chance to get a quick taste of the orient in a gorgeous setting.
