Service: OK but could be better
Menu: Good with a respectable variety of dishes
My choices: Pork pad thai and chicken stir fry
Feedback: Chicken stir fry very oily and too much oil for a stir fry dish. Pad thai was over cooked with pork appearing to be deep fried more than a protein ingredient to a noodle dish. Lacked true authentic pad thai approach.
Pros: Location. Takeaway or eat in available.
Cons: For a Thai restaurant it falls well short. Kitchen can be seen from dining room and service counter. I observed the chef preparing all meals and it was very clear that this chef enjoys cooking with excess oil. At one point the kitchen became a wall of fire over the gas burners with kitchen hands preparing to grab fire extinguisher. I know it may be custom to taste test the sauce of a dish prior to serving however it was difficult to see if the same spoon was being used in the preparation of all dishes.
Being and accomplished cook of Thai cuisine and married to an Oriental woman, I found the food at this restaurant to be very average by Thai restaurant standards. Having been involved with Thai restaurants, I would give this one a miss and look for another Thai experience near this location.
