We stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend, the room price was advertised at $645 pn, although we got a half price deal through Wotif.com. There was no room cleaning or clean towels until the 3rd day of our stay, however you can ask for clean linen and they will oblige. Our room had a lovely view over the river but the enjoyment of our room was badly spoilt by the very noisy bar on the ground floor. It was ok during the day, however on Friday and Saturday night the noise from patrons outside the bar area was unbearable, no amount of double glazing can block out that amount of noise. A lot of money for a room that is so so.

We stayed in the superior river studio room with balcony over the long weekend. Service was attentive and the room was clean and well appointed. The pool area is really nice with a wonderful view of claisebrook cove. The disappointment was the gym as its small and his very little equipment

Room Tip: get the river side higher up

If you are tired of paying totally unreasonable prices for a nice hotel room in Perth then Sebel Residence offers a great place to stay by the water in East Perth. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The compromise is that there is little other service (no room make up over a 2 day stay) other than check in and check out but good cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby cover the gap. Ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper. Staff were very helpful with things like taxis , bikes etc

Great location tuck away in East Perth, love the boutique style rooms for short stays in Perth. Conveniently located around cafe's and restaurants but kept away from the busy streets of St George Tce's and Perth CBD.

Room Tip: Request for water views from 2nd floor up.

Stayed one night on business. Great bed, although the pillows were a tad soft. Friendly reception staff, but I did not get the alarm call, despite booking one. The hotel is obviously used to catering for longer stays, a little worn in terms of furnishing and fittings. Iron was functional but had bad burn marks on the plate. Needs some tlc. No wifi although being installed. Good location.

Great location, just a $11 cab ride into the city and close areas like Leederville. The Claisebrook train station is just a 10 minute stroll away. The pub downstairs has good pub food but really hideous crowd. If you get a river view room, be prepared to have the screeching pub crowd in your ear if you are planning to have an early evening in without the a/c blasting and obscuring the noise. We stayed for 6 nights and it was pleasant enough but the badly designed TINY bathroom meant I would constantly scrape my elbows on the door and if you don't watch it, you will get splashed by the trajectory of the tap and the angle of the bathroom sink. That ticked me off, as did the nozzle on the kitchen sink... who picked these fittings??? Filling up a kettle was challenging! The bed linen was substandard (throw cushion and blanket were piling) and the mattress was two singles strapped together and really hurt my back. Staff was polite and professional, save for one random woman who did one shift who was too busy texting to call me a cab. Pool was only open for a short time and only during the day till 7pm. The same price would have bought me a VERY nice room at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney. And get this... NO WIRELESS INTERNET!!!!

Room Tip: If you intend to do some web surfing or send emails in bed, forget it. THERE IS NO WIRELESS INTERNET...

Stayed here for 3 nights from 29th December as it was in easy reach for the railway station. Didn't realise the hotel was in such a great location with the free Cat service into the city almost right outside. A regenerated part of east Perth, the hotel has frontage on to Royal St and backs on to Calisebrook Cove with all it's cafes' and restaurants'.
We had a one bed studio apartment overlooking the river, with a balcony, great for people watching. The room was a good size and we weren't troubled by noise from its proximity to the eateries below. We did have a problem with a doona that had obviously been sent to the laundry but had come back badly marked. This was changed with out any fuss.
Would definitely stay here again when in Perth.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Claisebrook Cove, on top floor.
