Located in Northbridge in an old converted house on the outskirts of Perth’s Chinatown area in amongst Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean restaurants & grocery stores, this low key place is ok to base yourself here as the area doesn’t become too empty after sundown & fills with hungry people enjoying cheap Asian food & young people/clubbers on the weekend, the hostel is in a quiet semi-residential area away from traffic.
Our room was a double ensuite with a private bathroom for $85 had a double bed & a bunk in the corner able to sleep another 2 people. The aircon seemed to be centrally controlled & turned off early at around 8AM forcing us to get up. Check-out 10am. Beds start from $65. The front door has an electronic lock with keypad that requires a code. The public living area was comfortable but with limited seating, looked refurbished with floorboards & had a high ceiling keeping it relatively cool in Perth’s heat.
The owners accommodated for our late arrival at midnight by making arrangements to leave the key in a pre-arranged place for us to pick up. Hostel is very clean without any carpets or their wet dog smells.More
