“Great place to stay, feels like home!”
Reviewed June 25, 2011

It's a small hostel so you get to know most people, think there are around 50 beds. It felt like hom eto me, always nice people to hang out with. The common area is mostly outside with some tables and some couches.

The location is very good, northbridge, close to all the nightclubs and snackbars. The cbd is about 15 min walk so that is alright as well, but you can also take the free blue cat which brings you around the city.

Facilities are alright. There are not a lot of showers so from time to time you have to wait and be quick otherwise somebody else is waiting for you. Laundry is ok, you can buy washingpowder as well. The tv room is pretty nice with a small balcony so if you want to smoke you don't need to walk downstairs. Kitchen is big and every morning free pancakes, sometimes even after noon.

All together it's good value for your money since you only pay 25 dollar a night and 150 a week for an 8 bed dorm. Not a lot of people work here but the ones that do provide good service, such as free airport pick-up and helping you with questions. I would recommand this hostel.

my friend and i booked into the OZI INN during our first trip to Perth. we had no idea about staying in a backpacker before and just would like to do it experience. the main reason we booked 3 nights at OZI INN because they provided us with free airport pick up. we arrived about 2 am in the morning. when we arrived at the hostel we were given our rooms. we stayed in a 6 bed doom. we feel uncomfortable we always stayed in a hotel room. anyway, it was late and we fell a sleep shortly. we woke up the next morning and we help ourselves to free breadfast pancakes. we don't know how to cook the pancake but easily we made friends and we learn. it was great and when we had breakfast, we chat with many backpackers and all was so friendly and helpful. from there onwards, we enjoyed every bit of our stay and furthermore, we extended our stay for another week. we also had free dinner on one occation and was cooked by the boss. we had a chat with the boss and he told us that he was happy just seeing everyone of us enjoying the dinner and chatting away. this backpacker hostel is really something and my friend and i agree that it is much better staying in backpackers hostel then a hotel. you get to meet so many friends. the list just go on. for us is all good memories.

I stayed at the Ozi Inn for roughly 2weeks and loved the place!
Mark and Verlie really are great mangers and you feel that if you have any problems concerning the hostel you can speak to them about it no matter how big or small it is.
The bedrooms were great, the air-con was well appreciated in the summer heat and the beds (and linen) were clean and comfortable.
I was impressed with the kitchen as it stays fairly clean and has everything you need in it. The pancake breakfast is worth getting up for as well! :)
My favourite part though has to be the TV room! it's very social and has Sky Tv! can't complain!
Overall it was the best hostel I stayed in in Australia and i'll be sure to let everyone I know going to perth to stay there! :)

I only intended to stay here a few weeks at most, but ended up staying months thanks to the atmosphere and attitude of the staff and other residents. i say residents more than guests because a lot of people stay here long-term but everyone who arrives is instantly welcomed. it may only be a small place but that just adds to the infectious feel-good vibe, the cliquey groups of larger places just doesnt happen here.

Activities (for lack of a better word) are provided by managment many nights of the week, be it deals with local bars and nightclubs, movies shown on a projector screen, poker nights, live in-house music, trips to freemantle and local beaches, BBQs and even a ping-pong competition.

I had an absolute blast my entire time there and im definetly going back in the new year!

I intended on staying a week initially but ended up there for six! It's a great place with a fantastic atmosphere. Everyone is really friendly and it's great if you are wanting to party! Saying that, the rooms are still relatively quiet and you'll always manage to get a good sleep if you need it. Mark and Verlie are awesome and always happy to help you out. Made a lot of good friends and was very sad to say bye.....

The Ozi Inn makes you feel at home! The staff and guests are very helpful and friendly. Even if rooms are quiet packed, daily fresh and free pancakes for breakfast and a free pick up from the airport (even at night) are just examples of how good hosts they are. Loved it there. Most people stay longer due to the atmosphere or always love to dropby later like me!
