So, how many of you have actually been to Hyde Park recently ?? A lovely place to spend an hour or so unwinding while stimulating your senses.

Tucked into the inner north suburbs and recently re-vamped, I've heard this park was originally designed for our home-sick early English settlers, so European visitors will feel instantly at home amongst the trees!

But nowadays it's great for everyone, there's plenty of room&shade to spread out plus play equipment for littlies&walk/skate/bike paths for older kids, and grassed areas for frisbee etc.

My other half loves people-watching, especially weekends when chances are you'll see a wedding or 2...

For coffee lovers, there is a variety of quality cafes&to-die-for patisseries etc, all in walking distance of the park.

Thoroughly recommend.

Low key, family friendly, dog walking, kids biking, ducks quacking kind of park! Gorgeous trees are beloved by all in the neighborhood. Water fountains and play equipment all popular and good quality.

A lovely park close to Northbridge - great for a stroll or picnic. Has kids play area and in summer play fountains which are VERY popular.

You can really connect to nature here. It is especially lovely in Autumn or Spring when the weather is not so harsh. It is such a great place to relax and watch the world go by. The park is huge!
Many people have weddings here and weekly picnics. During Christmas time the park is full of children and people celebrating.
Nearby is a deli but is not far from a bakery and other restaurants. Best to bring your own food though and truly enjoy!
