Mercure at 10 Irwin street is an amazing 13 floored hotel at the heart of city center in Perth. Ithas roof top swimming pol, spa gym andsauna (each spacious). If you are coming for business or holidays , this is the one of the best hotel in Perth. Room charges are around 130 AUSD. Internet facility, working table, lcd tv and sofas adds the spices of staying. The bath is exotic and very spacious. The hotel is 3 minutes walk away from the subway/ train station. It has a bar and two dinning places. An Indian resturent (Balti) is also 2 mnutes walk. Shopping malls and food joints (all tpes of world food) are all 5 minutes brisk walk from here. The view is good from the rooms with Swan river in front. I guess this is a great hotel to stay either for business as well as for holidaying. It has a disco at the ground level with full partying facilities. Secured and personalized hospitality adds the charisma ! happy staying at Mercure
If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in the center of Perth put this hotel on your list. But don't expect anything spectacular. Its a corporate hotel that has little character but is clean, relatively quiet and is convenient for shopping and business.
Perth CBD is not exactly brimming with restaurants and eateries it has to be said. Not a patch on Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
There are many reasons to like this Hotel. Position is one of them. However the property is a bit tatty at the edges. The changing room for the gym is a good example of degrading paint work and a reminder of school changing room days. The shower must be 20 years old!! The room was standard, the free Nespresso machine a nice touch, but the bathroom depressing. Overall maybe I was expecting a 4 star experience and got a 2.5 to 3. There are other choices in Perth I would go for unless this hotel was of a great price.
